Sand Bar & Grille at Martha’s Vineyard
I’m really glad that Brian talked me into buying a new pair of sunglasses because I don’t think I could have gotten through the Segway tour and a full day of riding around on the moped without it.
My $10 mango daiquiri…
It was way overpriced. It was a small glass for one, and it didn’t really taste any better than the $5 mango daiquiris I’ve had before. The mango daiquiri at Warren Theater is actually even better than this one. =P
Becca said her fish sandwich was really good, though.
Jay said this clam chowder was terrible. It was more like potatoes and water.
Jay traded his crappy soup for a fish sandwich.
My crab cake was good but, for $13, you’d think they’d have at least given me two of them. Anyway, I’m no crab cake expert but I thought the ones I had at Skipper’s Dock in Stonington were better. And, they at least gave me two of them.
The sweet potato fries were amazing, though. They were the best ever!
Brian’s chicken tenders were really good, too… But again, overpriced.
It seemed like everything was expensive at Martha’s Vineyard except for the necklaces that Brian and Jay bought for themselves at one of the souvenir shops. LOL. Martha’s Vineyard was a bit underwhelming. It’s a beautiful place and the weather was absolutely gorgeous and everything, but it’s probably not somewhere I’d want to go again. At least we can cross it off the bucket list, I guess.

FOODIES » Blog Archive » Press Wine & Cocktails says:[...] to discover that you only got two. I can relate because I had the same feeling when I was at Sand Bar & Grille at Martha’s Vineyard. They only gave me one crab cake and I expected at least a couple. It was quite an expensive single [...]

Hi,
I am Mari. I was just browsing and found your evaluation
)
I know it’s gonna sound weird
I was your server in Sand Bar. i think im in the background of 5th pic.
I read ur evaluation about SB. I respect ur opinion but do not agree with most.
It’s Vineyard and everything is more expensive than anywhere else. Your Drink was in 16 oz of cup which is the same size as any beer glass
) However, i know it looks smaller
Clam chowder? It is a matter of taste i guess cause 99% admired it
Fries were one of the best part (My brother was cooking them
) Potato was hand cut from every morning and it was coming with crumbled cheese <3
i was working in SB for 4 months. 100 hours each week. Loved the kitchen and the bar!!!
I am not a big fun of them though
As for crab cakes, it had no fillers that's why it was so tiny and expensive

Hi, Mari! Great to hear from you. No offense was meant by my post. I was just whiny! We had a great time at MV this past summer and those sweet potato fries were awesome for sure!
