Scotch & Sirloin
Mom won a free dinner at the Scotch & Sirloin at one of her work functions. Brian and I decided to tag along. We were originally planning on paying for our dinner, but mom and dad said they would pick up the tab. As luck would have it, mom actually had $100 (instead of the original $50 she thought she had) to spend on dinner. It worked out great. The four of us got to eat for free, practically.
We all must have been starving on Friday night because we completely decimated the combination appetizer before I could even take a picture of it. The fried broccoli is my favorite.
Brian had salad, but I opted for the soup because I heard it’s really good.
I wasn’t disappointed.
I’m not much of a steak-eater, so I ordered the mahi mahi entree.
Mahi mahi is one of my favorites. By the way, can you tell that the rice in the little bowl is different from the rice that is under the fish? I thought it was kind of weird that they gave me two different kinds of rice.
Dad had the beef kabob, which looked really yummy.
Mom had the petite prime rib, which wasn’t very petite if you ask me.
Brian had some kind of chicken dish.
We had a 12-layer chocolate cake for dessert. It was delicious! And, it was so big that we couldn’t finish it. Mom and dad got to take home all the leftovers, including what was left of the chocolate cake. I was really tempted to go over there today to have some leftover cake, but figured that they’d probably eaten it all already. I know it wouldn’t have lasted over here. =P
